Smoky "Cheese-sauce"
Smoky "Cheese-sauce"
Mmmmhhh.... Made this smoky cheese cashew-sauce for quesadillas. Careful with the chili, I did not use a lot, as I cannot eat too spicy. But if you like it, go for it!
Ingredients (for 2 jars - can be refrigerated)
- 200 g soaked cashew nuts (overnight, or if you have a power-blender: pour over hot water and let it rest for at least 1 hour)
100ml tomato sauce
- 100g natural yoghurt
- ½ - 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tps Salt
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- ½ tsp teaspoon cumin
Preparation
Mix everything well in your blender – then add in a bowl – chill or use immediately
Perfect with Quesadillas or try this with Nachos, or just as a filling in your sandwich!
